This frog can be easily recognised by its round and stocky body, small head, and broad orange bands on both sides of its back. Common in disturbed habitats.
Habitat A highly adaptable species able to survive in disturbed habitat including flooded grassland, roadside puddles and urban storm drains. Hides in holes in the ground, under leaf litter or in cracks of walls
